September 1, 2009 - KGS Group Acquires EMC Engineering Inc. - KGS
Group is pleased to announce the acquisition of EMC Engineering Inc. in
Regina, effective September 1, 2009. With a present staff of approx. 12
engineers and support staff, EMC Engineering has provided electrical,
instrumentation and controls engineering services throughout Western
Canada for the past 25 years. EMC's client base includes
institutional and commercial clients, power utilities and industrial
facilities, municipalities and government agencies and agricultural
sector clients. EMC will operate after September 1 under the name
KGS-EMC. Day-to-day operations of the KGS–EMC team will continue under
the office management of Ian Mitchell, P. Eng. and the Project
Management and technical direction of Mike O'Krancy, P. Eng. and Jim
Molnar, A.Sc.T.
KGS Group is committed to expanding
the office and the engineering resources in Regina with the goal of
being able to provide full multi-discipline services to our clients.
With the acquisition of EMC together with the previous acquisitions in
Regina of Donovan Engineering (structural/civil engineering), MR2
McDonald & Associates (water and wastewater treatment,
environmental and municipal engineering) and the planned addition of
mechanical engineering resources to the KGS Group Regina office, this
goal has been substantially achieved.
