Transportation Engineer
Working from our Winnipeg office with our Municipal group,
the
successful candidate will manage the planning, design and delivery of
transportation projects throughout Manitoba and neighbouring provinces.
Responsibilities:
The intent of this position is to provide project management support
including design development through construction administration for a
variety of transportation projects. Some of the tasks required of this
role include:
• Project planning & scheduling
• Coordination with external design
disciplines
• Bid completion & tendering
• Cost control
• Manpower planning
• Client liaison
• Chairing meetings with stakeholders,
utilities and general public
• Progress reporting
• Contract billing
Qualifications:
To meet the needs of this role, the following skill-set is
sought:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Professional registration with APEGM
• Minimum 8 years experience in a
consulting environment
• Experience working with clients in both
public and private sectors
• Experience managing staff
• Knowledge and understanding of local
design standards
• Experience with proposal writing and
business development
• Experience with applicable roadway and
drainage design software packages considered an asset
• Experience with design or
administration of bridge projects considered an asset
• Experience with design or
administration of municipal projects considered an asset
• Solid organization, presentation and
communication skills
• Proven commitment to safety
• Self-starter and team player
