Jason Mann
With over 27 years of geoscience experience, Jason supports our environmental, ecology and environmental impact assessment, and geomatics (GIS) groups across the company, with a particular focus on the growth and oversight of the environmental and GIS teams in Winnipeg. He also contributes to various initiatives related to our work with Indigenous partners, including service on the board of Ganawendan Aki.
Jason has worked on projects across a wide geographic range, from South America to the Arctic. He is highly skilled in aerial photography interpretation and mapping, as well as the design and execution of hydrogeological and environmental investigation and remediation projects. In addition, he provides technical input for large-scale multidisciplinary projects, including flood control, hydroelectric, solid waste, mine closure, and industrial and institutional projects.
A leader in advancing 3D geological and hydrogeological modelling at KGS Group, Jason has also provided peer review and technical representation for municipalities, hydropower developers, and First Nations groups, including within environmental hearing and licensing processes. He contributes extensively to the professional community, having served as Councillor and President of Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba. He currently is serving as the Manitoba director on the Geoscience Canada Board and continues with a role on the executive of the board for the Tunnelling Association of Canada.
