Jon Friesen appointed Geotechnical Department Head in Winnipeg

We are excited to announce that Jon Friesen has been appointed Department Head of our Winnipeg geotechnical group.

Jon started at KGS Group in 2000 and worked full time while pursuing his B.Sc. and his M.Eng. from the University of Manitoba.  During his tenure at KGS Jon has held various roles, specializing in water resources and dam safety projects. For the past three years, he has served as the Assistant Geotechnical Department Head.

Jon has developed excellent working relations with several of our major clients across Canada and has shown himself to be a project manager that exceeds expectations. He has increasingly taken on greater responsibilities mentoring staff members and managing projects of all sizes, and constantly shows himself to be a self starter, hardworking and reliable. These are all qualities that make him more than deserving of this position.
