Junior Laboratory Assistant

KGS Group is seeking a Junior Laboratory Assistant to join our Transportation team in Regina.

The Opportunity

As a Junior Laboratory Assistant, you will:

  • Receive, label, and analyze samples.
  • Perform laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM, AASHTO and CSA standards.
  • Clean and perform basic maintenance of lab equipment.
  • Record and report results to your supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines.
  • This position currently has two temporary terms, with the potential for extension.

Your Qualifications and Abilities

  • High School Diploma and valid driver’s licence.
  • Self-starter who can work alone as well as in a team environment.
  • A basic knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work well with a team and as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to strict processing procedures.
  • Ability to keep and record daily logs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
