Network Support Specialist

The Role
As a Network Support Specialist at KGS Group your primary duty will be to ensure the reliability, security, and efficacy of our data communications infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will have the skills and expertise to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor active network equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing network performance.
The Network Support Specialist will play a role in maintaining network infrastructure, both in Canada and the United States.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Support, configure, maintain, and upgrade KGS Group networking infrastructure.
- Monitor and test network performance.
- Support documentation activities.
- Contribute to planning and implementation of emerging network technologies.
About You
- Certification or comparable experience in Fortinet networking hardware and software.
- Certification or comparable experience in Ubiquiti hardware and software.
- Knowledge of best practices of management, control, troubleshooting, and problem resolution of network infrastructure (firewall, VPN, VLAN, general management and monitoring, etc.).
- Organizational skills, ability to manage time and resources.
- Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of multidisciplinary teams within the IT team and KGS as a whole.
- Ability to travel to any of our regional offices in Canada or the United States.
