KGS Group is seeking an experienced and relationship-driven Senior Talent Acquisition Partner to lead and elevate our recruitment efforts across engineering and project delivery teams.
This role is designed for a seasoned talent professional who brings both deep market expertise and a strategic mindset. You will not only source niche technical talent, but also build long-term talent pipelines, leverage industry networks, particularly within hydro, energy, and power systems, and partner closely with leadership to shape hiring strategies that support business growth.
If you are passionate about influencing how organizations attract and retain top engineering talent and connecting exceptional people with meaningful, high-impact work, we would love to connect with you.
About Us
We are KGS Group, an employee‑owned, multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm serving clients throughout North America. As an employee-owned company, we’re deeply invested in our work and our people. Joining us means contributing to some of the most interesting civil and hydro projects across Canada, the U.S., and beyond. With diverse expertise throughout the company, you will find opportunities to learn, grow, and advance your professional development.
The Role
Based in either our Mississauga or Winnipeg office, you will lead full-cycle recruitment for specialized engineering, technical, and professional roles across multiple regions and business units.
More importantly, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, working closely with Regional Managers, Department Heads, and HR to align talent acquisition efforts with workforce planning, project demands, and long-term growth objectives.
You will bring a strong understanding of the engineering and hydro or energy talent landscape, using your networks and market insight to proactively identify and engage top talent for critical, hard-to-fill roles.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Talent Partnership

- Act as a trusted advisor on hiring approaches, talent availability, and competitive market conditions
- Contribute to workforce planning discussions and support long-term talent strategies
Talent Acquisition and Pipeline Development
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for senior, specialized, and technical roles across engineering and corporate functions
- Leverage established networks within hydro, energy, and power systems sectors to proactively identify and engage high-quality candidates
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines for recurring and hard-to-fill roles, reducing time-to-hire and reliance on external agencies
- Develop targeted sourcing strategies for niche and emerging skill sets
Market Knowledge and Employer Positioning
- Provide insights on compensation trends, candidate expectations, and competitor activity to inform hiring decisions
- Support the development of compelling job postings and recruitment messaging that reflect KGS Group’s brand, culture, and technical work
- Represent KGS Group at industry events, professional associations, and university recruitment initiatives to strengthen market presence
Process Excellence and Collaboration
- Lead recruitment activities within SAP SuccessFactors, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and a high-quality candidate experience
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Collaborate with HR team members on process enhancements and broader employee lifecycle initiatives
- Provide mentorship and share best practices across the HR team
About You
- You bring 4–7 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, ideally within engineering, hydro, energy, construction, or technical consulting environments
- You have a strong track record of recruiting for specialized, hard-to-fill technical roles and building meaningful industry networks
- You are a confident communicator and relationship builder who can influence and partner effectively with technical and senior leaders
- You are comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and managing complex recruitment portfolios
- You are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities
- You have experience with SAP SuccessFactors or a similar enterprise ATS, which is considered an asset
- You bring a proactive, strategic mindset and are motivated by improving processes and driving results
